Home is West, An Alternative Rock Band, Releases New Indie-Rock EP Titled “Here and Now”

Home is West is an Alternative rock band, based out of San Clemente. The band has released their indie-rock EP Titled “Here is Now”. It has four tracks, each of them as unique as the other. The four tracks are titled “Mexico”, “Sooner or Later”, “The Window”, and “Eight Seconds”.

The band had aimed to release the album earlier this year, but COVID-19 pushed the date forward. Home is West wasn’t able to record the tracks up until July. They took every precaution while recording in the studio. Now, they have released their EP  “Here is Now”.

All the songs on the album have a special message for the listeners. The first song, “Mexico”, has an American and old surf rock sound; it is all about finding inner peace.

The second peace, “Sooner or Later”, is about letting karma take care of it all. It is about what goes around comes around, so better make peace with it and do what’s right.

However, the most touching piece is “The Window”. The song reflects on losing a loved one. It is about moving on after the loss but still dwelling on the bittersweet memories. The band, Home is West, wants to let the listeners know that they aren’t alone.

Home is West has also added a unique song to their mix. It is called “8 seconds”. The song is based on 8 seconds of a conversation of strangers passing by. The song is about overhearing brief conversations and secrets of strangers. It has an edgy touch and is different from the rest of the songs.

The band completed the recording of the album in less than 12 hours, given the COVID-19 situation. Now, all the songs from Home is West are available on major music streaming platforms.
