Michelle Obama Visited a School in Vietnam to Promote Girls Education

Former US president, Barrack Obama’s wife Michelle Obama took a visit to a school situation in Mekong delta, Southern Vietnam. Her reason behind the visit was to encourage girls for education so that they can achieve everything in life with their potential. Michelle Obama was also accompanied by other celebrities including actresses Lana Condor, Julia Roberts and Jenna Bush Hager, co-host of the famous show, Today Show. The ladies met with the girls at the school on Monday. 

Michelle Obama and other ladies listened to the girls about their schoolwork and the challenges they face during the study. While talking with the girls, Obama said that she noticed the difficulties faced by the students there and will put a light on some agendas.

People around the world will understand when they provide the necessary education to the girls, they literally educate themselves and the communities of people living there. Michelle Obama has also announced that she is going to donate $500,000 for girls’ education. She will utilize the amount earned from the sale of her book, named “Becoming“, for the donation.  

Michelle Obama along with other ladies also visited the life skills training session for the students where specifically girls take training on critical thinking and leadership skills. She has been promoting girls’ education since her husband was the Prime Minister of the US.

She opened a charity organization named, Obama Foundation. And today, she is continuously working on Girls Opportunity Alliance, one of the initiatives taken by the Obama Foundation.
