Andre Iguodala on possible boycott after Donald Sterling audio: ‘I was all-in. Like shut down the whole season’

In 2014, the Clippers were enjoying with the Warriors at a post-apocalyptic string when then-Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racist rant became people.

One of the most pressing questions: Can players boycott?

The Clippers were using one of the finest seasons ever, plus they had been at the playoffs. Nobody understood how a boycott could impact the team.

Can the Clippers need to forfeit? Can the match simply be rescheduled? Can players get penalized? Can a boycott even succeed?

This was uncharted territory.

But the Clippers were not in it alone.

Andre Iguodala, through Ramona Shelburne of ESPN:

“I had been all-in. Like closed down the entire season,” then-Warriors ahead Andre Iguodala said. “Perhaps that was too much, but so far as that match that day, you can reschedule ityou have ta type out this thing, since there’s some deep-rooted material with him that needed to be addressed”

It is much easier to talk about boycotting than really doing this.

I receive the outrage over Sterling’s opinions. However, we will never know what would have happened if NBA commissioner Adam Silver had not take the extreme step of banning Sterling.

Clippers players protested using their warmup uniforms. That seemingly helped send a lot of a material for Silver to behave.
