Jessica Tutino’s Success Story: How She Built GMT From The Ground Up And Created A New Niche In The Medical Marijuana Market

When many people see an opportunity, their first reaction is to doubt themselves. They start to question why nobody else has attempted it before and why they should be the first to try. For Jessica Tutino, the reverse is the case. The minute she spotted a new market within the Medical Marijuana industry, she immediately dived without hesitating or second-guessing. Staying true to her favorite words, she ‘proceeded like success was inevitable, and indeed it was. 

Today, she sits at the top of her new-found market, completely dominating an industry that hitherto had no room for women. The question is, how did she do it?

Jessica runs and owns General Management Team, operations and consulting firm that serves MMJ and CBD brands.

“Our brand handles the creation, start-up, marketing, production, and consulting regarding the client and their products. Our services are incredibly flexible. We can be a completely hands-on turnkey operation or just a helping hand when needed,” GMT Founder Jessica Tutino comments.

In her own words, Jessica admits that it took more than the average effort to take her company from nothing to the top in only four years.

“As a female coming into a male-dominated field, I had to be more serious and possess more knowledge of different areas like consistencies, other cannabinoids, and their benefits as well as mass production measures so that I would stand out. “

Jessica Tutino came into the industry fully armed with all the necessary knowledge, thanks to her background and history.

“I studied to be a Pharmacist and started as an intern at Mayo Clinic in Arizona after school. I spent eight years in pharmacy before deciding to be more involved in symptom management and medication creation. In late 2015, I switched to Medical Marijuana, where I’d be able to do both.”

After working extensively at countless dispensary gigs, Jessica finally sat up and decided it was time for yet another chance, the one that eventually paved her path to success.

“I worked in 3 different legal states; Arizona, Vegas, Colorado, and probably seven different dispensaries in Arizona alone. Everywhere, I noticed the same thing. Many of these brands were specialists in one niche or the other. After the 3rd dispensary I worked out, I decided to set up my brand as a one-stop-shop to make things more convenient for the client.”

Since the moment that decision was made and sealed, GMT has grown to enormous heights.

“We have worked to create brands like Item-9 Cannabis Creations, Natures Wonder Dispensary, The Flower Shop, Orion Remedy, and our newest client, Lit Cannabis. Our brand handles everything; the creation, start-up, marketing, production, and consulting regarding the client and their products. Our services are incredibly flexible. We can be a completely hands-on turnkey operation or just a helping hand when needed.”
