Parx Casino opens $10 million sportsbook

On Thursday, Parx Casino launched its much-awaited sportsbook worth $10 Million which furthers the sports gambling casino push for Bensalem, Pa.

The space covering 7400-square-foot has walls that are lined up with 155-feet television screen that airs games from various leagues allowing the betters to place their bets on. This space includes the complete bar with close to 40 seats as well as 150 recliners where the visitors can relax while watching action going on in the casino.

This location is a 24-hours joint that works 7 days per week. It has around 10 to 16 hours worth daily service by live teller which depends upon the sports schedules. The space has a total of 6 windows for live tellers along with 18 of the self-service kiosks for betting in sportsbook.

The Parx’s sportsbook shall take over the market for illegal betting for sports which was termed by Marc Oppenheimer, the Chief Marketing Officer of the casino as a gigantic move. The sportsbook functions as the physical complement for its betting app for online sports. The upcoming move by Parx is to ramp up the wagering process for online sports, mentioned Mathew Cullen, the Senior VP for Interactive Gaming & Sports at Parx.
